I have not been able to locate an answer for my Excel annoyance. Why isit that when you go to Format Cells --> Alignment --> Text Control thatthe Shrink to Fit checkbox is sometimes grayed out? Working on a large banner, and want to share it with my team for review. Original file is 15mg, too large to send, and making a .pdf results in 45 pages of tiled images. Other desktop publishing software allows you to select a 'fit to one page' or 'scale' option so your image is reduced to one legal or letter sized sheet of paper. I can't even print this out to walk around and show my co-workers for comment.So - making a .pdf doesn't work, selecting Reduce then Fit to Paper Size won't work, asking to scale this to 20% won't work, printing to Offic..

As far as I know, shape objects are those inserted into Word using Insert Object Create. Change the Default Paper Size in Word. Word’s default paper size is “Letter,” which is 8.5 x 11 inches. If you use a different size more frequently than the default, you can change the default size of all new documents. This way, you won’t have to change the paper size of each new document you create. The size of Microsoft Word documents can be changed on existing documents at any time, regardless of their current size. If, for example, you have a document formatted in legal size - 8.5' by 14' - but you only have letter size - 8.5' by 11' - paper available to print on, shrink the document from legal to letter size.
